During the week of September 29 - October 3, the chapel team decided they wanted to bring some of the spiritual exercises from retreat and make them regular practices at school.
So, on Tuesday, the chapel leaders directed the students to reaffirm their commitments to Jesus that the made on the last night of retreat. A banner was displayed in chapel that read "What will you do with your Jesus?" The chapel team encouraged our students to remember the commitment they made to Jesus, to write those commitments down on brightly colored sticky notes, and then to pray over those commitments. These sticky notes would then be placed on the banner and put on displayed in the high school hallway to remind the students of their commitments.
On Friday, the chapel leaders continued practices from retreat with a time of worship and prayer. On the last night of retreat, we experienced a time of good singing and a movement of the Spirit that led into an excellent time of prayer, both individual and group prayer. When this happened at retreat, the students noticed the fellowship and community building that resulted from it. So the chapel team wanted to continue this community building process when we had all returned to school.
